HallowLocated two miles north of Worcester, Hallow, a picturesque village, with an impressive Victorian Gothic Church, built in 1869, featuring a 150-ft. Spire, The well-kept Churchyard is looked after by a group of enthusiastic villagers, who make up a working party each week. There is also a bell-ringing group. There are two public houses in Hallow; "The Crown" and "The
Royal Oak" both are renown for their hospitality. All the usual groups clubs and societies are established in the Village. The Scout Hut, Village Hall, and the playing field are accessed opposite the Village Green. The playing field, has a football ground and cricket pitch. Also an occasional car boot sale is held here. Adjacent to the playing field, is the very popular, "Hallow Lawn Tennis Club", which is also floodlit. "Hallow Working Men's Club", is situated opposite the "Crown" just off the main road. "Hallow Primary School", with it's unique copper clad tower, is located on the main road and nearby is the "Ladygo" grocery stores. There are three garages in Hallow, selling new and used cars, but none selling petrol. Several small Business parks, supporting many enterprises, are located in and around the village. There are a number of well-used footpaths that take you to the river, "Bevere Lock" and the "Camp House Inn", at Grimley. A pleasant stroll alongside the Severn leads back to Worcester.
